Drawing salve has been used for centuries to pull toxins and foreign bodies out of the skin...like toxins from bug bites, stinging nettles & poison ivy, splinters, cactus spines, ingrown hairs & toenails, and thorns. It also helps ease the itch, pain and stinging associated with these irritants. Drawing salve is also effective at drawing out infection from wounds, boils and cystic acne. A must have for your medicine cabinet!
Charcoal and bentonite clay are main ingredients in our recipe that help to detoxify and purify. Other ingredients include castor oil and tea tree essential oil which have excellent anti-microbial properties. We added lavender essential oil to help with inflammation.
To use: dab a bit salve onto the affected area and cover with a bandaid or gauze pad to keep from staining any fabric. Re-apply as the salve dries out. Multiple applications are normally needed to help draw out impurities.
For best results, apply our manuka honey salve to further heal the skin after impurities are drawn out.
Organic Ingredients: Olive oil infused with plantain, dandelion & lavender from our gardens. Castor oil, activated charcoal from coconut, bentonite clay, beeswax, essential oils of lavender and tea tree.
This product will last for a few years at room temperature. Contents will become softer on warm days and more firm on cold days.
